Announcements YOUR CLUB NEEDS YOU!

As you will no doubt be aware, our AGM is next month on Sunday September 28th at the Huntingdon Marriott (Nationals hotel). Early indications are that there will be a number of Committee posts becoming vacant as follows:
- Chairman
- Treasurer
- Membership Secretary
- Club Merchandise
- Public Relations
- Events Co-ordinator
- Corvette Nationals Support.

With this many vacancies, we urgently need the support of the membership to carry on the excellent work of the current and previous Committees. The Club rules require that the Chairman, Treasurer, Membership Secretary and Club Merchandise roles require at least three year's (not necessarily consecutive) previous Club membership, other roles only require current membership. Committee meets 3-4 times a year and for the last two years has included free membership and for the last year, petrol and meal expenses at Committee meetings and one night's accommodation at the Nationals.

The Ultimate Hot Lap

With development engineer Jim Mero behind the wheel, the ZR1 paced the Nürburgring in a time of 7:26.4. The engine rpm and the vehicle speed are the actual data taken during this lap. The elapsed time was measured electronically and confirmed with two hand-held stopwatches. The video is continuous and unedited. Watch and listen as the ZR1 tackles the twists and turns of "the Ring" and sets one of the fastest times ever clocked for a production car.

Many congratulations to Michael, and thanks to everybody who supported the East Anglia Air Ambulance by purchasing their ticket. Thumbs up
