Sorry everybody! I don't frequent here very often.
I'll make it a project asap to post more views of my Convertible which, incidentally, I totally love. It is, without doubt, the best car I have ever had and the Smallblock is probably the most reliable piston engine ever conceived and manufactured.
I've owned this beauty since new and the only reason it is available is because I'm trying to buy a C7, which is not proving easy.
I'll repost as soon as possible with more photographs.

Oh, sorry again! Don't do this very often so here's another update.
Price? Well I see there's an almost identical car on eBay (or was); I seem to recall it's a 2007 reg. and asking £25k. I think I would let my car go for about £22.7k with the new front tyres referred to later.
That's ''as is'. With new bespoke beige leather seats, which I am planning to have made, say, £23.5k. Also, have just fitted a new front bumper/nose cone and about to fir new front GoodYear F1's; backs are good. FSH and just changed the transaxle oil and engine imminent. I want to keep the reg. although that could be arranged; it's quite appropriate.
VIN and further details/photos later or on request.

Frank, Know what you mean about trying to buy a C7 not proving easy, I have been looking for a few weeks. I'm "Silver C6" on Pistonheads. Good luck with the search. Peter

EU only or is US ok - Page 1 - Corvettes - PistonHeads
Indeed! There seem to be a lot of time wasters and some who seemingly aren't prepared to put themselves out for a sale. Recently I was on the way to Edinburgh and somebody who lives a few miles off the M6 wasn't prepared to meet me in the services. Anyway, I like my Convertible so much I feel like keeping it, although the C7's interior is so much better of course.
And, for somebody who doesn't visit often, this is my longest trip. Added to which it appears that CCCUK comms. are going to SPAM.

Put a wanted add on here. Might be a C7 owning club member who, in a moment of madness, "bites" at a price beneficial to both the buyer and seller i.e. splits the £3k(?) margin/mark-up these dealers appear to want, between the buyer and seller. Two of these dealers work from home, so their are overheads aren't high.

On that Pistonheads link, "Nogbad" is, I believe, a CCCUK member. See the photo on his Pistonheads profile of his red 2014 UK Car. That's manual (2014 & 2015 UK/Euro spec cars all are, as you may know). You looking for manual or auto or either? "Vipernutnew" is a (not letting on) dealer in the Midlands. The 2014 car he is selling (I contacted him) is a 2014 US spec car that was advertised by a private buyer in Gillingham a few weeks back. He bought it and added £3k to the price (now reduced by £2k this weekend). Still a daft price for a US/import car . This one:

Frank, you have a "message" - a "Private Conversation".....

You thinking of "pulling the trigger" on a (Franks?) C6? If so, remember that a UK spec C6 has UK spec headlights, compared to a mainland Europe car. Franks is, I presume, a UK spec car. Mainland spec car headlights will pass the UK MoT. Will UK spec headlights pass the French MoT equivalent, and what testing is required to register in France? Allegedly, the UK spec car headlights were fitted in Belgium by Kroymans, the then European importer. They forgot to do that on some of the UK bound cars apparently. Also on a UK car, the Certificate of Conformity will state that the car is certified for "left hand rule of road" (drive on the left). When Stratstones were selling them, they did not routinely give the customer a CoC.

Franks car is advertised as being a 2009 car. It 'is' 2009 registered but listed as being a LS2 spec'. Accordingly it won't be a 2009 model year will is it? - Caveat Emptor?

Where is it listed as an LS2 (2005-2007)? On the CCCUK members database? Appears to have the (from 2008) LS3 wheels, but they could have been changed obviously. Registered 17/8/2009 as C6 Auto, according to the .Gov Check MOT History, but doesn't state whether LS2 or LS3. Think Sratstones stopped selling them late 2008 or early 2009, so probably Bauer Millett supplied car. Think Stratstones had difficulty selling them, and the European importer (Kroymans) went bust. So yes, may have been some unsold LS2s "hanging about". But 2 years? Have never seen an advert for a 2009 registered LS2 before (2008 registered yes). Maybe this is a "first"? Obviously if it says LS2 on the engine, its LS2. One of the digits in the VIN Number tells you what model year it is, and V5 will state capacity of engine (6 litre for LS2/6.2 litre for LS3). If its got the silver centre dash panel, its an LS2, black carbon fibre look dash for the 2008 on LS3.

It is a similar issue here in London with people who have bought-into what they believed were the latest technology diesel vehicles that were advertised and published as being LEZ compliant perhaps a year or two ago. With the best intentions buyers traded up from older non-compliant vehicles to expensive emissions friendly alternatives ..........only to find out later that the 'bargain' vehicle they bought (perhaps an ex-demo or pre-registered car) had been sold to them with an earlier generation non-compliant engine......and lumbering them with a 24/7 £12.50 LEZ charge now (if travelling in to the current zone) and anywhere within the North and South Circular from 2021..........

And whether you will be sleeping in the garage for the next couple of months, until forgiven? ;) There are always solutions/workarounds to these problems. When I got my (silver) C6, neighbour offered to garage my (silver ) C4. Told him that hadn't told the missus about the new one and, as she only goes into the garage for her gardening gear, let's see if she notices?

So, all relevant facts have been published. I don't wish to mislead anybody
This is where I came into my car's life.
I bought it new from Stratstones B'ham and there were 25 miles on the clock. I had a full three year's GM warranty which came into play twice; once for the new transaxle oil spec. and lastly for the headlight wiring issue, which seemed to me to be a belt, braces and piece of string matter.
I've had this car for nine years during which time it's done the Le Mans/Mallorca trip 8 times without faltering a beat. It leads an easy(ish) life because I'm retired and, although I'm about to build another couple of garages here (the Morgan is in the current one) the Corvette has never been inside in its life and not a drop has ever got inside; everything works fine.
i never asked Stratstones about the 2009 wheels and I have never changed anything.
I love this car and, given the current apparent issues surrounding C7's that are so say 'available', I may never sell it, certainly when and if I have the seats recovered.
I have pondered exhaust replacements but, if you do decide to 'open it up' a bit, it will roar at over 3k rpm; otherwise I rather like stealth mode. sometimes a shock for other drivers.
So, to any interested parties, I'm in no rush. If I should stumble upon a C7 that looks good, and given that I had a great deal when I purchased the C6, I would be happy to share that good fortune and adjust the price.
Seems pretty obvious that C7 prices will be impacted, probably greatly, as soon as the C8 is available. On the other hand I suggest that C6 prices will be shielded by the very same thing; at that time C6's will be getting closer to passing into Corvette folklore. To be honest I rather prefer the C6 looks against the C7 anyway although interiors are a totally different story. I also like C5's and often looked at getting one in addition.
Whatever it would certainly be a Corvette as nothing else gets close to a SmallBlock engine.

1) Contact Rich ( Membership Secretary/ex long time Chairman), to see if he still has the modified C6 exhausts/mufflers for bit more noise? Probably don't like the neighbours anyway? ;)
2) Loved my (recently sold) C6 that I owned for 7 years, a fantastic looking car. But, went to look at /test drive a used C7 on Friday. First time I had driven one. Tremendous!, including the interior build quality and the "kit" you get e.g. multiple driving modes.
3) So Stratstones were still selling them late 2009? I stand corrected.

Thank Frank for the additional detail - so we now understand where you came in the the cars life - and know it was registered in 2009 - the thing that will be of importance to many is the actual build date, being that an LS2 specification would be from a earlier manufacturing date. Perhaps the vin. no. would help?
