Is This Nice....Or What...........

Ah yes I guessed as much - IDA or IDF type inlet and throttle body castings. If you see a Kinsler oval port set up or Enderle oval or rect port at a reasonable price I'd like know.

Another classy look.......

I've been through three colours with my car. As the many, many years of ownership flew by, 52 and a bit so far, I needed changes to stay fresh. In the late 60s, silver was all the rage, so I bought it in Silver Pearl. But, a few years later, everyone in my town began driving silver cars...Chevelles, Camaros, Mustangs, yada, yada, yada. Everywhere I looked, silver, silver, silver. So, I changed to Goodwood Green, not realizing at the time that Goodwood Green was the most common colour for Corvettes in 1967. This photo is from my website...

Finally, about 38 years ago, I totally lost interest and devoted my available time to building a family and a business. The car sat, ignored...unloved, until my son became a teenager twenty years ago. That's when the big project began, I decided to heed my inner crazy and make the car the way I thought Chevrolet should have built it. And, I chose Rally Red (or a reasonable facsimile). My painter convinced me that the new body panels would be too disguised by a dark colour - so red it is.

Ladies and germs..........the 1963 Grand Sport...aka the Cobra killer. Those of you who may be new to Corvettes, owe yourselves a trip back into the deep history of Corvette racing, and in particular the man who was behind it for many, many years. Zora Arkus-Duntov. Google him, and also the 1963 Grand Sport. Despite the prominent livery racing number 2, this is actually Grand Sport 003 (of 5). These were the cars that legends were built on.

I've moved the rest of this post over to the C2 Generation section because it warrants a longer-winded story that would be appropriate here. Hopefully, I'll see you over in the C2 Generation for more.

I just realized that this .GIF file doesn't seem to work on an Android phone or tablet. By that I mean that the morphing in this image (from a C1 all the way to a C7) does not work on those devices. It does on a Windows computer though. Hmmm.
Works well enough on my Android phone (Samsung) cool gif!
