hi all

my reg B12 VET is on my c4 and in use. i don't really know how selling it works, but i guess it's relatively simple and if anyone wanted to offer me something for this plate and cover the transfer cost, i'd be happy to sell it depending on the offer. never really been bothered about it. i'd rather than a good few hundred in my hand to put back into the car.

Hi. Yes. I remember you. I recall getting in touch when I was buying it. Where in the uk were you when you had it? Which owner in the 9 previous owners are you? Got any pictures?

She’s doing well. Underused. But looked after. I love it. Plenty of little to medium jobs to bring her to the top but generally in very good condition.

Two standout problems for me are someone painted the wheels. They’re tidy but not as striking as the stock diamond cut appearance. So that’s on the list. And the big one, it must have had a bump somewhere round the passenger front corner before i bought it. The hood and front bumper don’t line up nicely and it has an awfully dull area of bad paint on the hood in that area. So probably an expensive job.

Sadly I think it got clocked by 13k miles somewhere in its history. Before electronic MOTs. The mileages don’t appear right.

But still enjoyed to say the very least up here in north east wales.

You still got a ‘vette?

Cool, you sent me the photos :) Great to see it's still you that got her. History from my ownership. I bought it from a club member down south (I'm in Renfrewshire just outside Glasgow). Only thing I did was paint the rear deck as the hood was bad at rubbing that area. I also got teh stick on deck protector and custom fit car cover. I still think I have a magnetic sump plug that I never fitted. :)

The guy that bought it from me was called Tom Donachie who was quite local to me. He moved it on as he had hip issues if I remember rightly.

I went on to get a Ford Lightning Pick up (F150) and then got back into the Vette's in 2012 when I shipped a C3 project over which took me 2 years to get on the road. 4 years I had that, loved it but loved the subsiquent C6 and now have a C7 and a 97 Trans Am WS6. I'll see if I have some photos. I'm bad for not taking pictures :)

Wheels were mint when I had her.

Great to see the photos. Thanks very much. Love all of your cars. I’ve noticed the wheels are indeed mint. Along with the proper Argent gray paint inside each hub. Unique to 1987. Yes those names are all in the big fat history book I’ve got. When did you have it then/how old was it? It was only in the states for 3 years. Oh I need to get the ABS working too!!

I was still in the Fire Service at the time. The photos were at the back of the station. Yes it was all original. It had been in to Tom at Claremont Corvette at some point for servicing as he had note of the ohms on the key when I lost a key. Must have been aroung the 2005-2007 I had her. Give or take. Remember getting caught in a snow storm on the A66 heading back from Teesside to Glasgow. That was the only scary time :) It was my first Vette

Looks like it’s got the exhaust it has now. Stainless and no mufflers And tips point upwards. It sounds ace. Nice to see the stock corvette badge on the back. I bought it with a reflective red “3D” badge on the back. Been after a stock one but very expensive!
