Hi all
I have had my car coming up to two years now and during that time I have asked many questions of you guys with the experience and knowledge so here is another one.I am thinking of getting the car repainted the original colour (Black)but I am also finding the quotes (five up to now)frankly more than I can probably justify to she who must be obeyed ranging from £5000 to £10,000 and that’s with the car rubbed down and disassembled as much as can be done by me to there requirements. My question is has anyone seen the you tube films of guys (mostly American )removing the top coat of paint and sometimes primer with a razor blade type D I Y paint scraper tool before finishing with fine grit paper and blocks and I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts or experiences with this method as it seems by far the least time consuming way to go about this task and the more I can do the less I have to pay for is my line of thought.
Regards Nige
