Back in the States my C3 wore sidepipes.....

Over here, reverting to a standard system revealed that fitting the pipes had necessitated nibbling away the alloy rocker panels....

So today finally got round (with the CK supplying new panels and a mounting repair kit) to replacing them....

A bit tidier... :)

Cold and windy but sunny, was thinking about going for a spin in the Z, but still recovering from some flu crud from the last week, maybe in a few days.

It was only the gas neck filler boot Norm , it was only 4 screws to pull it out then replace the boot .
Took about 10 minutes, think it was shot lol only 41 years old .
I'm going to have to take a close look on my '75, see how it's holding up.

Completed my twice daily walk-a-round in garage (morning security lights off-evening security lights on). Just checked the maintainer for proper indicator light display. (y)

Exciting, ain't it.......:)

Drove it to work and back while listening to only the Port speakers... I'm in the middle of upgrading them all, and the starboard side trims are all off, but something's off with the wiring (no signal to tweeter) so couldn't finish the job last night.

Too breezy this weekend to finish the carport (aside from adding the guttering) so I got to work on the Corvette instead. 20190316_161431.jpg20190316_140014.jpg20190317_091200.jpg20190316_172742.jpg20190316_140026.jpgOil service, oil sender, new plugs and leads, rear discs and larger Z51 caliper brackets, Z51 ARBs and Z06 dampers. Should help to stiffen it up a bit (but still ride well on the road). The lift was worth every penny, makes life so much easier. Just need new tyres from Adams & Page and an alignment and it will be ready for the sprint at Snetterton on 31st March.

Thanks, these are nice straightforward jobs, I'm sure you could do it if you got stuck in. :)
Most likely I will go for Yokohama AD08R, which are a sensible road and trackday choice (they should clear water).

I just noticed in the last photo the clear bag with £8 on it! :giggle: I was draining out the oil catch tank at the time.

Was supposed to be taking mine over to friend's garage with two post lift, to get all four wheels off, tyres swapped round, adjust handbrake and set timing, but he now has to work OT at day job garage. How dare they! Hopefully will get jobs done by end of the week, especially the timing/tuning part.

Good luck with the handbrake Jim !
