Re: C5 for sale

This looks to be a very nice example of a 'rare in the UK' magnetic red C5. Coupled with the 50th Anniversary year and the low mileage it'll be a great buy for someone. The only thing that I think would enhance it would be to lower it a touch on the stock bolts, otherwise a very nice Corvette.

Re: C5 for sale

thanks for your comments Graham It was the colour that made the decision for me when I bought it and still think it stands out

I will have to research the lowering item Mmmmm that's a thought

Where was this this time last year, I would of bitten your arm off for a manual......saying that I do like the auto for lazy driving.

Re: C5 for sale

oops! forgot to mention that is manual and with HUD
I was informed the callipers come with the Z51 kit?

The exhaust is as I say "Switchable " exhaust and the read out for the tune that was done at the time shows an increase in power to just over 400 bhp
if I interoperate the graph correctly?

what else has it had done to get to 400bhp? an exhaust and filter might net you 20odd bhp but 50 might be stretching it a little. I'd still bite your arm off if I could.

Re: C5 for sale

I owned this car when the mods were done. The exhaust and remap were done by Monkfish performance they asked if they could use the car to put this set up together.

It has a switchable exhaust with electric butterfly valves in the exhaust to make it quiet or loud. The exhaust was supposed to be a cat back but when it was built they fitted hi flow cats as well. The car was then remapped to 402hp and 400 lb ft of torque if I remember correctly.

The car was dynoed on the stock exhaust first then the modded with the remap so the 50hp is accurate.

The air filter is still stock unless it was changed later

Re: C5 for sale

Thanks for all that made comments and observations
I have now taken a deposit on the car to someone who will hopefully enjoy it as much as I have
