Re: Some Subtle Mods to my C7 Stingray

Hi ken

Do the rear brake scoops colour actually match the car correctly as they look a different shade in the picture, im hoping its just the photo?

Perfect Match ....I think it’s because the body runs behind them and is shaded as it disappears into them so to speak lol
I got the final pieces ... the Z06 / Grand Sport Front wheel arch Mouldings fitted [Go on a treat after a slight trim with my Dremmel] as my wheels are ‘Spaced’ it looks Grand
I say final piece the last possible piece could be the Z06 Grill with Scoops Colour Coded in VY again from RPi Designs ... Never Say Never!

The Z06/GS Wheel Arch Mouldings ....slight trim with my Dremel tool to fit as I wished to keep the splash guards .... other that a simple fit

I had considered fitting the GS/Z06 Front Grill ....but decided to mask out the Chrome Centre Bar and using Plasti-Dip 'Deleted' it .....Looking pretty Good

Looking good! Are the rear wheels still within the arches/don't protude with the spacers on the back? Looked at this car (see above) at Ian Allan on Saturday:

https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/chevrolet/...

The red (painted) wheel stripes are in a recessed ring on the outer rim, as you thought. Part of the wheel construction/not a stick on job, as far as I could see.

Cheers the Wheels are pushed out to the Arches but don't protrude ....Looking at that Ad for Ian Allan that Vette appears to have the Chrome deleted too! I had it out for Fuel the other day ...... Beautiful Sunny day when I paid and was walking back to the car and it caught my eye ....it looked Superb! With a real road Presence with its Stance and Kit.... Folk where Admiring it and having a chat .... a Blokie following me pulled up inside of me at lights wound his window down to say "Don't usually like American cars but that is Stunning!" Cheers Mate! All the waves ...thumbs up and pic's taken make Vettes a pleasure to own. [Oh ..Yellow wheel trim Off the Menu lol]

Yep, As I said elsewhere, the visitors to American Car Day at Brooklands a few months ago were "all over" the two C7s parked next to each other. If you ever considering selling it, put it on here first? In fact, PM me first! ? Very Happy

HaHa Will Do! ....last night I heated the 'Stingray' Badges and using 20lb fishing Line took them off .... using WD40 to remove the Glue as I've found a Fender Grill extension that gives the car a GS/Z06 appearance [The Stingray Grills are quite 'slim' in comparison]
I Sold my Z51 Grill to a Guy from Sunny Hull who has just purchased a Superb Convertible C7 3LT just 4k on the Clock with No Spoiler... in....... Velocity Yellow! Result for both of us you'll see him [Steve] on here soon. Yep you will have first Dib's lol
