Actually, if you look on the DeWitts website, it gives you part of the answer. Presume that, like the guy in the video, you bought the "double row"113909OA model i.e.

"This unit fits into the original mounting however GM did not allow any room for a thicker core and therefore it is impossible to make a true "direct fit". The upper two rubber cushions must be trimmed slightly to accommodate the larger core. We now include spacer plates and hardware so no shroud cutting is required! "

Re: C4 Zr1

Those damn rubber cushions. Wow that caused me a lot of grief getting the shroud back on. I have had to remove one of the rubber cushions entirely as it's an impossible thing to keep taking off, cutting down, refitting etc as the shroud takes 20mins to get on, then 20mins to get off, then cut down the cushion, then 20mins to put the shroud back on etc and then do whole process a number of times. I have had to bodge it in the interest of getting the car put back together. Everything is secure but it was frustrating to have such a huge problem with the shroud which currently can't meet the top of the fan housing. It is secure however, but just not perfect.

I will post pictures on here when i get a chance. Needless to say, the fact it was all plumbed together, filled up with coolant and was finally driveable filled my heart with joy. Took it out for over an hour or so and stayed really cool the whole time even with AC on, standstill traffic etc. Amazing.
