Proper rolling road / dyno tune


Is there any company in the U.K. that does proper, old school USA style rolling road/dyno tuning on classic cars? I'm talking about a service where they spend a few hours doing runs and rejetting, adjusting carburation, ignition timing, distributor re-curving etc.etc. and you leave with a car that is more powerfull and sweeter running than when you went in.

John Sleath at Doncaster has both engine dyno and rolling road - he build my engine and dyno'd it and has build/dyno'd some serious cars.

I do that on classic American carb'd v8 cars for a bottle of my favourite scotch. I don't have a rolling road. I just need to take the car out for a straight run up and down a few times.

I understand there is a place in Newcastle (where i live) now that has a modern, quality rolling road. But only for modern computer controlled cars. And it isn't cheap.

Geordie, much as I'd like to meet up with you and take advantage of your knowledge and experience for a bottle of decent whiskey it would be a 500 mile round trip for me so a no-go Sad

Just checked out the John Sleath website and he looks like he could definately do what I'm looking for.

PvE near Chard (Somerset) do a full engine tune and so forth - its where my C3 is gonna be going when I've finally finished my winter revamp of the engine.
