1981 corvette 64,000 mile on it way over

Just bought this little dream boat from the States, OMG! 64,000 genuine mile true time capsule, all original, still got all the emissions control on it, clear CarFax was stored for 10 years, I think this will be a candidate for a NCRS judging

That is gorgeous. Rare to find such an unspoiled car.

Let me know when it's over here!

So she’s had her new shoes put on, a minus in her survivor status but still wearing her original paint and trim, my mate said the fuel sender crapped out on way home from the tyre shop but as 4 new Cooper tyres only came in at $460 fitted a fuel sender at $99 is not gonna break the bank.
She’s being taken to the port tomorrow by my mate to start her voyage across the Atlantic to a new home!

Hopefully the last piece of the saga!
Last night on route the our Essex Vette meet I get a phone call, different ring tone means it’s my mate Stateside.
“Hi Tone the Vette alternator has crapped out on the way to Charleston docks, but don’t worry I’ll sort it! Just updating you”
Image

On the way home another call “ Tone 20% discount on batteries at Advance Auto Parts better to be safe then sorry” he spends my money like a man with no arms!
Hopefully no more Agg!

The day of reckoning is here!
Going to pick her up today from Chatham, here is my essential pick up kit which hopefully I won’t need as my mate drove it to the stateside docks without issue.

Car is fully U.K. insured on its VIN number and as it is prebooked for a MOT on route home it is totally legal thank you very much!
I would have thought you being a Professional car dealer you would know that!!
PS driving your cars to the pub on trade plates however is not. Tut tut!

Hope it goes well for you Tony. Funny thing is is for its first MOT prior to registration you are allowed to drive it to the testing garage with no plates at all. I guess the US reg makes it look less of a tug. We've all done it. Thumbs up
