How do you get a l48 to 300 ish hp or engine swap

Whats the best way to get a l48 to 300 ish hp,

I have seen the edelbrock top end kits but whats better that or a crate motor?
Obviously trying to keep costs to a minimum.

one of these:

https://roadcraftuk.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&pa...

Then make a video of your engine running and you'll get 700 back for it.

Chances are the rest of the mechanicals have got tired along with the engine , start putting out an extra 150hp and things are going to slip or give up.

Is it better to just get a crate engine instead of building the l48 then?

You couldn't build one for the price of those crate engines.

I paid nearly that much just for pistons and a re-bore with torque plates on my old Dodge 440.

Check with the likes of Real Steel..

Here's a good starting point for a reasonably priced short block 350...
