Started reassembly this weekend, got balancer in and torqued down to 250 lbs which was hard enough I can assure you, also new tensioner pulleys. Got to take the old lady out now! Hopefully Iíll get back and have time to get the rack back in 🤞🤞

Might also change the ProCharger oil at this point because of the ease of doing it, it was only done a thousand mile ago mind you!

Had a nice run out in the hazy sunshine through Northumberland today. Great roads and found a new Italian cafť/bar in Rothbury, really nice.
Rare spot though, saw another torch red C5 driving through the main street, in 11 years of ownership I've never seen another in the same colour - weird.
Good chance to put the new discs and pads to the test on the windy roads, all in all a nice day.
Cool

What happened about getting it pinned on the crank? You get that sorted?

I had a drive out as well yesterday. A 3 hour drive to Kielder Reservoir and back. I went along the old Military road and up the B6320. Really nice drive.

Finally sorted the 'rocking' on both seats in the C5 (only been like it for 3 or more years)! Still at least it will be a more comfortable ride down to le Mans this year.

Yes, you will probably think Iím mad but I took it to Thurston engineering, gave them the balancer and the pin and they milled it out for me, perfect job but came at a price!
1 hours labour £50+VAT, the crazy thing was the balancer was only £70+post, but I look at it as time is money and the time and effort it would have cost me was much more than £60! Also I havenít got anymore of my crank drilled.
The really annoying part of this story is, yes the balancer was wobbling but I think the squeaking was a tensioner pulley! silly

You are not using the Goodyear "Gatorback" belts is the problem. They are the only ones that don't squeak or chirp after a while.

A cheap attempt to blend them into the car design.
