Re: Le Mans 24 Hour

Stephen,

We registered for the event a while ago but have never received any further updates from the event directly. Is there a particular route we need to take to gain access (from the south for instance?) We are staying near Le Grand-Luce again so coming across the D140 would be easy, but I am not sure if the roads are closed before Mulsanne corner?

Thanks

Jason

Re: Le Mans 24 Hour

Hi Jason

I just had a look through our emails and we have not had any direct communication re our entry. We have had contact, as we live here, and were invited to the "Sponsors Evening". Last year I was concerned, but when we arrived they knew all about us, so I'm expecting the same this year. (It's not unusual to not hear from organisers of French events - they just assume you'll arrive and then they are ready for you!) I keep looking at the website, but nothing much new there. Smile

Yes, I think you'll be fine coming in that way. Yes

Last year we came up from Chateau du Loir as I was not sure if the "Mulsanne Straight" would be open. But in fact I think it was possible to approach from the north.

We come up the D304 through Grand Luce, but will probably go on up to Parigne and then left towards Ruaudin, as its a slightly less "rural" route! Like your route, it'll bring us in through the village (past Carrefour Market) to the roundabout that is on Mulsanne Corner. You'll see the entrance to the event, off the roundabout.

Hope to see you there! Thumbs up

Stephen,

Thanks for the information. As if by magic an email appeared this morning stating more details are to follow. Nothing like cutting it short !

See you there.

Ha! Laughing We had the same email - I was going to let you know. Leaving things late seems to be the "norm" here. Very Happy Yes

By the way, when do you get down to Le Grand Luce?

Stephen
