Aye. Most electrics are just generally one gear boxes. But my point was more than the "interface" in the cockpit is generally the same for autos and electrics - namely a stick with "Park", "Drive", "Neutral" and "Reverse" etc.
So I was just trying to say that from within the cockpit an originally Auto Jag and an Electric Jag could look the same inside with the same interface, but under the surface it would all be different technologies. I just like the retro look of the original interior and having the "modern" electric interface where the gearstick was just looks a bit odd.

As to electric cars themselves, I'm still on the fence with them. Once they are cheaper and (as said above) the technology is sorted to genuinely be more cleaner in production etc, then I'd probably have one as my daily drive as it'll be cheaper to get to work etc. Likewise electric power production will get "greener" in the future too, so using the electric car should be better. But my play / weekend retro cars will be kept as originally intended. Especially the Corvette - it needs to be loud and V8-ey Very Happy
