Seatbelt refurb

Thought I'd share the excellent service I've just received refurbing my seatbelts.

One of the many jobs that need doing on my C3 was fixing the seatbelts. As you can see the passenger side was not quite how it should be and the drivers side webbing was also filthy.

Following advice I found in the forums I contacted FDTS, who couldn't have been more helpful. They sent me drawings of their retractors so I could see if they would fit, but as it was clearly going to be a very tight fit they sent me one of their retractors, free of charge, so I could make sure. Fortunately with a bit of rotation the retractors do fit both sides. I decided to replace both retractors and webbing and FDTS fitted my old buckles to them, so I can re-use my exisitng GM branded catches. The total cost for this was 150, but if you only need the webbing changed them it would only be about 70 or 80.
The end result looks pretty good to me.

Re: Seatbelt refurb

Nice people down there. I think they're getting quite used to doing Corvette seat belts by now.

Perhaps they should run an ad. in Vette News? Scratchchin

Having a lot of bhp is all very well, but on these forums it's torque that counts
