Re: Heads/cam

Iím going to go for a heads and cam package from Texas speed & performance with new headers, fast 102 intake, fast throttle body, fast fuel rail, new upgraded rocker arms.
Installed by topcats. Looking forward to it.

Any cold air intake, it will be a bottle neck.

Re: Heads/cam

Real pain in the arse ordering from Texas speed & performance.
Did the order online on their site and paid by card.
Payment went through my end. They voided it at their end.
They said they only do internation payments by wire transfer.
I had to wait about 5 days for the card payment I made to bounce back to my account. Iíve now done the wire transfer. Takes 4 working days to hit their account.
Ball ache! Customer service are a bit rude too!

Iím sure it will be worth the wait.
I got my cam kit from tick performance which went smoothly until I got stung by customs

Yea I got stung on getting some bushings in £136 duty and taxes just for bushings!
Not looking forward to all this lot coming through. Will be worth it when Iím over 600hp at the wheels.

Glad to see more C6Z owners pulling the trigger and going from mild to wild!

Re: Heads/cam

Heads, cam, intake, headers, rocker arms, pushrods, lifters etc arrived.
Got upgraded from 265cc heads to 285cc as they had no 265cc in stock.
Didnít bother with the throttle body or fuel rails... i though it may not be worth it with cats installed as so much restriction.

I donít suppose itís possible to remove them and get through mot.

Once ready for shipping, it was quick!! Took around a week.
Import duty was £1200 or so. Fuckers.

Looking forward to getting this lot installed. Hopefully see over 600 to the wheeels.

Re: Heads/cam

Wow, found my self in a world of doo doo.
This is going to be a long list of problems so I may as well wait till the car is done and back home till I explain the world of shit thatís happened.
Top cats tho, without doubt the best place... but my car has been a nightmare!
