C7 Configurator

While I'm not seriously looking at going from my C6 to a C7, I like to have a play on the configurator from time to time, but noticed today that the options for the C7 have been severely limited compared to a few months ago. You can no longer select a manual option, and only a 'Red' edition is available with 2 colours only......basically only 1 'build available for 72,945.00, in either black or white....

Also the manual option on a Grand Sport is now an additional cost. I thought it used to cost more to have an automatic?!

Have GM stopped producing the Stingray for the European market in this case, or waiting for an upgrade for the 2019/20 model?

Re: C7 Configurator

Kevin Hurl, IAM's DP told me this was going to happen earlier this year. GM seemingly were offering far too many option combinations for the Euro/UK market and were planning to significantly reduce these options and offer 'popular' combinations only Scratchchin

Re: C7 Configurator

Weird? No base (non GS) car choices on transmission, wheels, roof panel, interior/seats, brake caliper colour. And in black or white "Red Edition" Coupe (no convertible) spec only. Is white a "popular" C7 colour in UK/Mainland Europe?

Re: C7 Configurator

So 'Popular' options is just one option in either Black or White then......hmmmm. Will make the 2018 models a bit more desirable then surely, especially the 3 new cars that are still for sale at Ian Allen.....
