C5 O2 sensor code??

Hi,
I have just had the error code come up after having a run and opening the car up....
It has had a remap by previous owner due to aftermarket exhaust, could that be the issue?

P0137 Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Circuit Low Voltage Bank 1 Sensor 2

Many thanks

Re: C5 O2 sensor code??

I had this on mine after replacing the exhaust (it was the "front" O2 sensors, pre-cat) needed to replace them in the end. Simple job. These ones affect the fuelling and you could smell the car running rich.

The rear O2 sensors don't affect fuelling as far as I'm aware. Try clearing the codes and see weather they re-appear. I think it takes 3 starts before the codes for O2 sensors appear so keep an eye out, won't be immediately obvious. Rear sensors are just there to monitor the performance of the cats.

Nice one thanks Ph300zx...
It doesn’t do it all of the time, it seems to be the odd time when you open it up..
I will see if there’s any garages in the North West that are familiar with Corvettes..
Thanks again

Re: C5 O2 sensor code??

You will get this now and again with headers and high flow cats if the mapping has not been done correctly with the MAF sensor and current exhaust.

I bet the fault comes on when you back off the throttle quick after a hard charge at WOT?

Even with a good mapping I suspect it still might come on from time to time though. Just clear it yourself. Or get your mapping guy to switch off the warning so it doesn't throw it up.
