That's good news Rich, which may "convince" a few people.

And that's good because the news about the St Saturnin Classic British Welcome is exciting. Ben is going to post this as a calendar item I think, but so it can be seen it in the Le Mans thread, here’s the information about this years SSCBW.

The SSCBW takes place on Friday 11th June, before the Le Mans 24 Hours, at St Saturnin, just a few miles north of the centre of Le Mans and attracts “interesting” cars from all over Europe.

Those who have been know that there is ample free parking, food, drink, music, films, even a car washing facility and the chance to meet friends in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere. Each year a particular marque is chosen to be highlighted.

For 2010 the featured car is Corvette! There will be reserved parking for Corvettes, a special indoor display showcasing a cross section of Corvettes and as always, selected examples of the featured marque are included in the convoy of cars that departs from St Saturnin to participate in the Parade des Pilots in the city of Le Mans.

This years event also has an exceptional line-up of special guests. Local hero Luc Alphand, together with the 2009 LMS GT1 Champion, Patrice Goueslard will be representing the Luc Alphand Aventures team. But this year’s Guest of Honour will be the guiding light of GM’s all-conquering Corvette Racing team, Doug Fehan.

If you own a Corvette, or are a fan of Corvettes, the 2010 St Saturnin Classic British Welcome is the perfect way to start your Le Mans weekend!

Sounds a top event guys.
After soaking up last years atmosphere and beer/wine over the 5 days,carn't wait till this years event
Do you mind a second year LM veteran joining in the fun???

The Vette made it down last year no probs at all.Longest journey its done since 2003.

Traveling down from Leeds on the Wednesday evening.
Camping on Karting Nord.
Metallic maroon C3 is the machine.

This year just gets better and better!!

It makes me want to go and clean the car, get the Jake sticker on the window and start loading it up.

The question now, is do I come back from the Isle of Man TT and head off early to enjoy a poke about at the scutineering? It's very very very tempting!

I guess you have heard that scrutineering is beginning on Sunday this year, in a different location which, from what we can understand, may be in the "old town". From my point of view its a bit disappointing, as it means a lot more crowds, which is what they wanted apparently!
