Thanks Aaron et al ! - John Sleath recon'd that it should be good for low 12's - possibly (with grip) high 11's - we'll see

John Sleath meant 12 minutes in your car Ross, not seconds! Just kiddin', hope you're well mate and good luck with the series. May see you at the Chelsea cruise reunion or Wheels Day?

Hi guys,
I am hopefully going to be doing this again this year, but I will be in the Vette pickup this time, I have been working since before Xmas squeezing a 6.5 Turbo Diesel in it ......yes I did say diesel
I have just got to work out how I am going to put the 500+ lb ft torque down on the track
My secret weapon.......I will be running 50% cooking oil, so the smell will make you all hungry, and you will be queueing for food all day

Well .....um ....no I have a very nice 36 ...I am going to see how long it lasts
I have 3 36 ratio's 3.09, 2.72 and a 2.59, I will prob go with the 2.59 so I can make use of all the torque, peak torque is at 1800 revs when I find what ratio works best I have a D44 that I can build if ....sorry ...WHEN I break the D36
Just got the exhaust and the turbo to fit now, going to have to lose the rear storage bin behind the passenger seat, cos that is where the turbo is going to live

Sounds like an interesting project. Fancy doing a write-up with photos and posting it in the forums for us?

Would have thought that removal of rear 'hatch' and subsequent lining of trunk area in to a pick-up bed would balance itself out weight-wise?
