What did you do with your Vette today?

We arranged a bit of a trip to the otherside of sunny, sorry, rainy Suffolk - always a pleasure covering a good few miles both on dual carriageway and country roads, enjoying the sites and sounds of Snape Maltings and Aldeburgh.

Both doing between 27-30mpg too (so obviously we're not trying hard enough...)

Who else is still using their car this time of year? Or doing something to it in the garage?

Weathers fine and dry. Tripped down HIghway 1 (A77) down the coast to pretty Portpatrick for lunch.

Cleaning the '87 tomorrow with my new Barrier Reef products..

I was under the impression that Suffolk was a very flat county - obviously I'm wrong because I can see that you are parked on a very steep hill in the first photo Fran Rolling Eyes

Meanwhile, up here in the Hope Valley it's been wet, but for an hour this afternoon the sky cleared just long enough for me to take the cover off and give the car a quick wipe down and a buff up with a duster - a poor substitute for a blast round the block.

Maybe tomorrow, but the forecast doesn't bode well Sad

Having a lot of bhp is all very well, but on these forums it's torque that counts

Hello Bill, no not that flat (but we're from Cambs which is mostly not undulating!) - I put the handbrake on and initially enjoyed watch the houses slowly creak past, I think it's just there for effect! Hopefully it'll still be in the same place when I wake up - I don't leave it in gear either as I know I'll fire it up the road by accident one day...

Mick - was there on Friday and there on Monday too! All go here...

Good work Steve!

Well, I drove up to the NEC and it rained all the way....

Went to Motorcycling live. I've never been before, I like like vehicles that don't a) fall over and b) need me to get wet when it rains. My son works for Ariel and they have a stand there with the new Ace Cool.

I wasn't quite as out of place as I thought I'd be, there were lots of old blokes there drooling over large powerful bikes. There was even a Kawasaki Ninja with a supercharger and 300bhp, bet that'd cure constipation Smile

It stayed dry on the way home, so the Chevy went back in the garage.

I drove my 87 c4 to work on friday, 26 miles each way. Pitch dark on the way and pouring with rain the way back. Still loved it. I never listen to music just the beautiful engine note. Mick.

Good man!

Ross, we need pictures, you'll get it sorted.

Have to say the 95 is relatively quiet, so good for relaxed cruising, it does sing at the other end of the tachometer, but even Mrs Franv8 is telling me I need a louder exhaust.
