Re: What did you do with your Vette today?

Did nothing to the C6 today, apart from putting it back in the garage after attending the Nationals. Had to move out the way the used HRE 19/20" FlowForm FF01 wheels & tyres I bought from Adrian Dromey the other week (couldn't resist them). Only problem is they are the orange ones. Laughing

What's the best colour for a silver car when I get them repainted or powder coated (not black)? Any suggestions? Quite like the IPA and that BMW Shadow Chrome look/finish

Don't see what is wrong with orange wheels on a silver car - if......you colour code the car. You'll need some orange elsewhere on the car for it to work - some subtle vinyl stripes and decals in the same shade would (IMHO) look good and very different.

True/Thanks. The neighbours twin 5 year old boys are certainly (very) impressed with the orange. Wasn't sure if that was a good sign? Laughing

It's eirie and quiet now! It's funny the car seems to grip and accelerate much better now with new Coilovers which I thought was just me, but I'm sure it's due to car not buffeting and bouncing with the very hard ride before.. Feel much more controlled now Thumbs up

Stiff suspension is for smooth race tracks not Northumberland A and B roads that's for sure. Yours sounds like the builder was one of those "bigger is always better" types. Stiffness actually makes the suspension slow to react on an uneven surface.

I much prefer the ride of my Z51 suspension with the softer Koni shocks but stiffer sway bars. Thumbs up

Youíll have the Honda Civic boys following you with orange wheels! Depends what attention you want.
Personally, I like the ipa colour, looks great on silver on evoís etc.

Electric headlights!
Video makes them seem louder than they are, in the garage etc.

Re: What did you do with your Vette today?

So been a very busy weekend!
First was a trip to the boot sale with the wife.

She got some Christmas decorations I hit the rocker panel on the Z06, not happy!
Went home and prepared and painted the drive shafts for the 81 survivor.

Sunday I went to support our Essex rep Andy at North Weald Cars&Coffee meet, great morning and good company.

Then went home and serviced the Z06 oil filter and changed the A/C belt for a Gatorback which stopped the chirping noise thanks to Keef at Eurovettes for supplying belt & filter.

Like to see that 100% before her trip to Devon next week!

Image
She is still Low mileage for a 2004!

Image
New shocks fitted to the 81 along with the rebuilt shafts, she be at North Weald Damn Yankees show

So have I been busy or what?
