Nationals Questions

Hi ,

Could someone please let me know the layout for the Nationals this year ?

I have heard that cars will not be displayed in their generation ?

Will this mean that you will be allocated space on arrival ?

Or will each region have its on space ?

and will there be a section for members to display their car if it is for sale or will it be ok just to put a "for sale" sign in the window ?

Thanks

Jeff

I have heard that cars will not be displayed in their generation ? Correct

Will this mean that you will be allocated space on arrival ? Yes/No (You can choose (subject to space) to park where you wish - so either with the members you cruised-up with - your buddies - your regional members - with other cars of the same marque

Or will each region have its one space ? - see above

and will there be a section for members to display their car if it is for sale or will it be ok just to put a "for sale" in the window ? - no dedicated for sale area, see no reason why any member can't put a for sale sign in the window (if it's his/her own personal vehicle)

Thanks for your reply Ross....

So am i right in thinking that for a member to be allowed to have a vehicle for sale at the Nationals it needs to have been paid for with their own money or the V5 has to be in their own name ?

thanks

Well, yes Jeff as I said - if a members wishes to advertise his own vehicle for sale he or she is welcome to do so - but by definition it should be registered in their name. If a trader wishes to bring several cars along that enquiry will need directing to the Nationals Organiser Mike Lacey.

Re: Nationals Questions

Hi Ross ,

Thanks for your reply but however as you know I am one of those nasty guys know as professional reputable car dealers , but I happen to own 2 (in my opinion) very nice Corvettes which are owned insured and registered to me personally but I cant see the harm in bringing along a nice ( in my opinion) C2 roadster that has never been seen at the Nationals before and I was looking forward to having it judged and putting a discreet "for sale" sign in the window and if it sold as a direct result I would make a £500 donation to this years chosen charity the Local Air Ambulance ..

As you have suggested I have written to Mike and will let you know his reply.

Thanks

Jeff

Re: Nationals Questions

Does this mean as long as a car has a valid V5 in the owners name he can put it up for sale???
Does this also mean it does not constitute as a trade sale???

Re: Nationals Questions

As Iím not a car dealer I donít have that huge markups to offer like £500 donations, to me itís my hobby/passion, but as you said ONLY if you sell as a direct result of offering it at the nationals!!

Tony you should consult with HMRC on Hobbies and Passions

Promulgated income is income and subject to the tariffs imposed by HMRC

Sorry.

Unfortunately Tony, you shot your self in the foot and answered the question here asked, with your following post.

You utilised two words each of one syllable: "Mark Up"
