2015 Nats - Cheers!

Big thanks to Kevv, Fran and all the associated organisers and facilitators of this year's show Clap Clap Clap

Excellent choice of food (get them to bring plenty of seconds next time though Wink ) and music for the Saturday night party, then, from this outsider's point of view, smooth running for the whole weekend.

I also think the choice of the BBMF Spitfire fly past was inspired - there's not much that tops being in the company of so many fabulous cars, but that did it for me.

Oh, and the Saturday afternoon talks were brilliant, I just wish I'd got a chance to chat to Karl, he must be one of the few remaining people that was on the inside of, arguably, the most fascinating period of US car styling, so to be in the same room was an honour.

Finally, I hope Tore and Tom got home safely, sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

Thanks everyone

Sainty Thumbs up

Sainty, a pleasure and thanks for coming!

Good news is "Valhalla" was successfully resuscitated by the AA van that turned up, the frequent starting and stopping in the arena caused it to flood, plugs out, spin over, dry and put back in and it was away. Sadly I don't know who the other chap was (C4 owner) bit he was also putting a lot of effort into helping them out.

So good news, him and Tom left for their journey up North under their own power.

Fran.

Nuts!

That C4 owner was me and I didn't think it sounded or smelt like it was flooded (which is hard to do with FI) or I would've done that myself. Banghead

I even brought a tool kit this time, after it let him down last year and we struggled to find a spanner, so I could disconnect the battery.

Oh well, at least he got on his way Thumbs up

Really sorry Sainty, I didn't realise that was you! We should all get our forum names tattooed on our foreheads. Anyway, really good of you to help a fellow Vette owner out, and given the custom and complex nature of Tore's car I think some of the initial troubleshooting you both did probably saved the recovery driver just calling for the flatbed. Good skills!
