Stone chip paint..

Found this bargain on Ebay.

4x 500ml cans too, unlike the usual 400ml..

Why not have the real thing instead of paint? I'll just throw gravel at you next time I see you. Smile

If it is rubber / plastic based underseal will harbour moisture if penetrated, rattle can paint even less resistent to stones kicked up underneath - a projectile stone does the damage what ever you do but rubber / plastic underseals cause other damage due to moisture retention around the pocket of damage.

Re: Stone chip paint..

I already seem to have birdshit paint on the top as the car is sitting under the carport (where the little feathered f*ck*rs sit and shit) on its jacks awaiting me finishing it off for the mot. I need its garage to work in as I'm refurbishing all my internal doors right now.

Nearly done, just to connect the rear flexy brake hoses and bleed the system out then it should be good to go, just in time for winter..

..b*gg*r! Rolling Eyes

It is galvanised under there, but not all of it. I've rubbed down and wirebrushed were I can, but I need to coat the offending bits with something other than Hammerite. Plan was to spray with a zinc etch primer then add stonechip on top.

Even worse are my driveshafts and rear tie rods.. So crusty and rusty, but not so bad that they are unsafe. I'll be painting them after the winter.

I'll have a think about this when I'm stripping and re-varnishing my 12 internal doors!! Scratchchin

Well I sprayed the cans onto the underside and its not the kind of paint I thought it would be, like bodyshutz as I imagined. It's more like a tough and textured matt black paint, but not as thick as bodyshutz rubbery stuff. This stuff won't peel off. Looks so much better now. Yes
