Vinyl hardtop

Just looking at refreshing the colour on my black vinyl hardtop. It's aged a bit but it doesn't justify the aggro of stripping the whole thing and replacing. I've used a vinyl paint aerosol in the past on some sun visors which was effective when I wanted to change the colour on a different car but I'm not sure this product will stand up to exterior conditions. Anyone any ideas about getting the colour back before I consider getting the shoe polish out LOL?

Try Renovo soft top treatments for vinyl soft tops, worked a treat on my TR6 top which had gone decidedly grey, bit like me really!

Re: Vinyl hardtop

I don't blame you for not wanting to replace the vinyl.

When I did my Challenger it ended up completely waxing my hairy arms during the process. Laughing

Re: Vinyl hardtop

Thanks Graham. I will have a look at that. Direct to Vinyl got back to me and confirmed only suitable for exterior use.

Dave- remember your mammoth build on the mopar forum. At least if I did strip the hardtop I shouldn't find the tin worm living around the rear window AKA E body mopars .
