C4 ZR1 - "Service Engine Soon" light

All,

Yet again i come asking for your divine wisdom.

Now my 1990 ZR1 runs, thanks to my new thermostat and Dewitts rad, i finally did a proper drive this morning and was able to get up to speed. I was able to go full throttle for the first time, and was enjoying the accompanying soundtrack. However when approaching c4+rpm the "Service Engine Soon" light came on. I immediately backed off, and then the light went away. Nothing else untoward was happening. The light stayed off for the rest of the journey, but when i tried full throttle again the same thing happened. Once i let off the light went out again.

Has anyone else experienced this, and/or can anyone with ZR1 knowledge shed any light on what may be causing this?

Thanks

Charlie

Thanks Felix. I have googled myself and seen this and read some excellent detailed articles. Was just wondering if any ZR1 owners here had any specific experience of it they could share.
