Having a lot of bhp is all very well, but on these forums it's torque that counts

Re: Silverstone Classic - 20/21/22 July 2018

The dates are now confirmed as 20/21/22 July 2018

Remember - 2018 is the 65th year of Corvette and we intend to celebrate in style at the Silverstone Classic

So if you have never been before or it's sometime since you went - get booking and join the party

And don't forget to book accommodation in the area while it's still available

As its the 65th Anniversary and I do know that on track laps are available to
individuals at a cost,is the club planning to organise the same as a club event
as many car clubs have done in the past. This would be a brilliant opportunity
to highlight our club and its presence. Bigear

An interesting point David - the Silverstone event seems to have always a bit of an 'issue' in the past - typically the costs to have a club 'presence' been disproportionately high - considering previous somewhat limited member interest and later involvement at the event. We have a 'new' BBCN Region Representative - perhaps he can take the event on?

Re: Silverstone Classic - 20/21/22 July 2018

The Club has an area booked.

I have pointed out that Corvette has its 65th anniversary and have requested a more prominent position within the infield for 2018.

The organiser has acknowledged these points.

A slow speed lap of the GP circuit may well be possible for the Club - but it's too soon to say for definite. Planning is still ongoing by the organisers, but rest assured I will do my best to get us the opportunity if it becomes available.

I will update this thread when I know more

In the meantime we want 50 cars there so get buying those tickets Clap

Re: Silverstone Classic - 20/21/22 July 2018

I have to put my hands up and say that we can't be there, but I'd so like to read about a "big" Corvette celebration at The Silverstone Classic instead of perpetual anniversaries for Mustang, Porsche or "those Bl**dy Red Cars"! Rolling Eyes

So I'm hoping that many of you can manage it. The last time we did the Silverstone event we loved it! I'll look forward to seeing the cars in classic mags like Classic & Sports Car Smile

The link for the code isnít working for me.
Can anyone tell me the code so I can book, know itís a bit late in the day but I would like to benefit from the pre 2018 discount.
This will be the first Silverstone classic for me as the event usual clashes.
Lastly, anyone know how to get 2 car park passes, as we will intend to bring both the C7.R edition, and the C6 Z06R.
Thanks in advance.
