New Exhaust System

Following a rebuild I need to fit a new complete system from header to silencer to my 1970 454, any guidance welcome as to what will sound great would be welcome.

It was fitted with Cherry Bombs silencers which seemed fine.

Also I live in Hertfordshire and any views for who to use for a supply and fit would also be appreciated.

Kind regards
Paul

Re: New Exhaust System

One things I did after buying my '69 427 was to buy a pair of small tube Hedman headers. Bought 2.5" Jetex straight thru ceramic filled mufflers in the closest size to oem and took it to Pipecraft (now at Basildon) to have a system make up. Less strident than Cherry Bombs (which had a reputation for internal wadding failure)

consider the Mid AMerica under car exhausts (they sound like sidepipes)
I am based in Herts too (colney heath workshop) and can fit stuff like that

There are other options too depending on what price/sound etc you are looking for
cheers
