Cigarette lighter


Hi All
I am struggling to justify the cost involved In getting a cigarette lighter for my 1979 coupe,itís not the cost of the item so much as all the extras you have to pay for such a small item.Does any one know of a possible close match that can be found over here!
As the lighter holder still works I worry that some small item may fall in there and do some serious fuse blowing,I donít smoke so it will possibly never be used as it was meant to be.

That was my worry, that something would "short" in the socket. There's been no lighter in mine for the 27 years we've owned it, but no fires so far! Very Happy I keep the lid shut most of the time and never use the ashtray for anything.

Other than the light, maybe you could pick up a blanking plug form somewhere like Halfords? With sockets being more for power than lighters the plugs seem to be more common.

How about plugging a Dash Cam in there. I have one in all my cars just in case (and one has a rear facing camera too). You never know.............
