Coilovers

Hi All
I am toying with the idea of fitting front coilovers to my 1980 C3.
My reason is simply to be able to make adjustments quickly.

I have seen sets on offer that require no modification to either the top spring pocket, or the lower wishbone.

My only concern is the fact that the bottom mounting seems to utilise the lower shock mounts which seems a lot of load on these bolts.
Any thoughts?

Delb

Re: Coilovers

Try Vette Brake Products (USA) adjustable coilovers with single adjust shocks

Then if you get the same shocks for the rear, the Vette will be fully adjustable back and front.

I have them but with 550lbs front springs by Vansteel, (Big Block)

The facility is excellent for tuning the suspension.

Barry, Belb,

I think you'll find that Vette Brake products has ceased trading. There has been a lot of talk on the US forums for some time now. The consensus was to go to Van Steel.

Re: Coilovers

Thank you Stephen, I did not know (shame they have gone).

Sorry Dellb for mis-advising, but the Shocks were QA1, from VBP and I believe can be obtained from Van Steel

Van Steel made the Springs for the QA1 Coil overs that VBP supplied to me.

Single adjust Shocks is what is needed, Double adjust Shocks are for the composite springs and that is another ball game all together.
