1993 storage

[Choosing a name is hard]

Hi, I have a 1993 anniversary C4 and there’s one cupboard behind the passenger seat when you lift the carpet up. There looks to be one behind the driver seat that’s fasten down. Why is that? Why isn’t it a storage space?

That is closed off but can be gotten into, but there is a controller in there for the FX3 suspension and if I recall
also for ABS
