Hi, any one noticed when you drop down the window storage tray lid, there are a row of rivet heads protruding through the inside edge, when the tray is closed these rivets make a nasty rattle or vibration against the frame, did they come like that or am I missing a cover strip or trim of some sort. TiA👍

Just looked again and saw that it is only the end behind the passenger seat I will investigate further👍

Can't say I've noticed any rattling within the window compartment.....tbh if window is stowed with the locating spears facing forward and the stowage turnbuckles engaged its all held in quite tightly.

Seemingly there are early/late '68 designs and further changes to later years - look at the two bracket appearing gizmo's each lower side of the shelf (shiny strip is the rear) - they each pivot on one side - open them and once the window with the 'spears' is laid in place you simply rotate each 'clip' (turnbuckle was wrong description) and the pin opposote to the gizmo pivot clamps it tight;y under the 'clip'. Works quite well actually.

Hi ross. No sign of mine ever having had the turnbuckles. Back to padding with a bit of soft foam to stop rattle, just found another rattle that is the tiny curved piece between top of fender and windscreen .
