Can someone with a 78-82 coupe let me know how the headliners are attached to their T-tops. Mine only have the round plastic "velcro" fixings, but my AIM shows 2 brackets attached to the headliner that screw it to the T-Top. Do I need to make these, or are the velcro fixings sufficient?
I don't recall having those 2 brackets on my 78 when I renewed the plastic velcro pads. My headliners look original to my eye & are some sort of moulded fibre board. I replaced all the pads & it holds fine.

No, they are the wrong shape. Corvette Kingdom shows them as fitting 69 - 76 cars, I think Ecklers has the wrong years. It's easy enough to make some clips, I just wondered if anyone else actually had them and if they were necessary.
Well screws will hold better than plastic velcro. Having said that, replacing all my Velcro on both sides seems to have got it covered. Some of my metal mounting brackets on the headliner side were also detatched & needed glueing back on.
