I think he said he paid $3600 Rosco and with shipping he reckoned he was into it for about $4k. OK, that's still cheap and sometimes you get lucky on eBay when you pick up a bargain that's not attracting much interest. It's hard to imagine it as a viable restoration project and there didn't seem much that would be worth salvaging as spares. I think that's one buy you write off as a lesson learnt.Certainly bad, very bad, extremely bad in fact. Just goes to show you irrespective of asking price the perils of buying sight unseen...........having said all that he did 'only' pay $2600.........
Ben is no novice, he knows corvettes, I have done buisness with him he knows what's what, he is showing the pitfalls of buying unseen. Which is meant to educate all potential buyers of C3sI think he said he paid $3600 Rosco and with shipping he reckoned he was into it for about $4k. No indeed, they're quite often bent from the car being jacked under there without proper support but rotted out?? The extent of the corrosion throughout the car and the different years of major parts suggests it might have been cobbled together from several different scrappers that had been living outside for many years.Have never ever seen one with a totally rotted-out front suspension crossmember......amazing!
