I'm expecting an explosion of variants now this mid-engine Corvette is up and running.
That computer-controlled transaxle should be able to handle immense torque from a pure RWD installation and I'm sure electric motors at the front must be just around the corner. I'll put a bet on more than one hybrid version - perhaps a choice of "performance" with a light battery of limited capacity or "touring" with a bigger battery and lower fuel consumption.
A purely personal opinion - the styling could usefully be made a bit less angular and bit more elegant. However, I suspect it's all been designed around the complications of satisfactory cooling for high power, mid-engine installations.
