Adjustable Aerial/Antenna

My 72 has it's standard full height aerial and was wondering if there was an easy swap available to put on an adjustable manual pull up/push down one. Just thinking about when I go away in car and want to put car cover over her, would save a bit of spanner time!
As I've just kept the standard radio in at present, not looking to put in an electric one, just hoping there is either a "shorty" or adjustable one that I could screw into current aerial base or swap over.
Have had a look on eBay and a few other car accessory sites so far, but not seeing anything obvious.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Jim G

I have checked for shorty antennas, tons of them out there, however, not a one of them will screw into or is adaptable to the stock base.
Very easy to remove, I just take it off when covering.

Cheers Norm. Yes, I think that's the easiest solution, as I'll have cleaning products etc with me, when away, so a wee adjustable spanner will be there too!

The standard antenna is a pain in the butt, 8 times out of 10 when I take her out I forget to put it on and only realise when I turn on the radio about 2 miles from home!

I did not know the standard aerial was a fixed one. My '68 has an electric up/down one that comes on with the ignition. A little bit annoying as I don't use the radio in my C3 - mostly because side pipes are better. So I deliberately put a switch in to stop it working when the ignition was turned on. Now only works when the ignition and switch is active.
