Japs just like dumping millions of their ricers here in the USA but rarely buy American vehicles
Small volume of C8s are there but look at the markups they do to assure many there cannot afford one
I read somewhere where GM did design the exhaust for Europe to include some other smog devices in exhaust to comply with the Euro
smog crap
I cannot see why if the BGP stops the line to build RHD versions that it would be easy then to have inventory C8s for the UK since it looks like they support our V8 engines and Corvettes, though mostly I see is old C3s as the most common
Europe is also jacking the prices up which hurt C8 sales
Compared to America's entry-level C8 Corvette,
European Corvettes also come as standard in 2LT trim, which includes a performance data recorder, head-up display, navigation system, 14-speaker Bose sound system, a rear camera mirror and heated and ventilated seats.
Available exclusively in 3LT trim, the European Launch Edition is distinguished by unique exterior embellishments, but Chevrolet didn't provide any further details. The Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 suspension system is also included as standard on these models.
The biggest difference between the European and US C8 Corvette,
however, is the price.
In the UK, the Launch Edition starts at £81,700 ($102,877) for the coupe and £87,110 ($109,689) for the convertible.
The new 2021 Corvette is available in limited quantities starting this month throughout the Chevrolet
dealer network in Japan, where it’s offered with a high-level of standard equipment and several customization options.
Among them are six paint colors and up to four interior combinations. Here are the suggested prices for the RHD C8 Corvette in the Japanese market:
- Corvette 2LT Coupe: 11,800,000 JPY (about $107,210 USD at the current exchange rate)
- Corvette 3LT Coupe: 14,000,000 JPY ($127,200 USD)
- Corvette Convertible: 15,500,000 JPY ($140,800 USD)
