C2 Rear Window Trim Removal

Removing the front trim was a bugger, but it's done. But removing the rear trim feels a bit sketchy - is there a 'right' way to do it so I don't shatter the glass?

Can't help with removing the trim but a warning for leaving tape on for too long. This below was the split in the Spur collection that included the ZR2 we had on display at Corvettes at the Lakes just before it went back Stateside to be auctioned off. The split had been taped off around the front and rear glass for what I don't know but after leaving the tape on far too long this was the result around all windows..

A good shout, although the paint on mine is scratty enough, that I could just cover any damage with a rattle can

I don't know if the C2 clips are the same as C3, but the method in this video worked perfectly for removing my trim

I've removed the front windscreen trim just fine, same tools and technique - but on the rear trim, I don't have the same gap/clearance - so all the pressure I apply goes straight onto the glass, making scary noises. So I wondered if there was a C2-specific knack for the rear window

Can't help with C2 specifics I'm afraid, but my rear window trim was difficult to lift, so I started in the middle of the screen and used a wallpaper scraper to spread the load over a wide area

If it's bedded in maybe use a hair dryer on low heat to soften the sealant or rubber?
