Yes porosity issues prevented '63 KO's being offered. The previous image I posted are of some I had diamond cut and powder coated and are on the silver '65 now. They were bare cast so '64 and yes the dirt and brake dust was baked into the rough texture and try as I did they couldn't be cleaned to any decent standard. Chris Sale on here did do me a good deal on them so it made sense to have them refurbished in '65 style & finish. The black certainly makes the fin edges/ends stand out. I like both styles myself. The only problem with the 64 style is that the bare finish shows all the dirt more than the 65/66 does.
Didn’t mention the 63, as no knock offs were officially fitted to the 63 model year, but thousands have them fitted now, both replica and original 1964 wheels, bought over the counter at Chevrolet and fitted back in the day.
I thought the finish was nicer than standard. They look really good.Yes porosity issues prevented '63 KO's being offered. They did a cracking job on 5 for £750.00. When I went to collect and pay he started off with they were a lot more work than we thought so naturally I suspected the cost to go up but they honoured the price saying that having done a set they could refine the process and turn them around quicker. I think maybe not .Here’s a 1975 corvette with the 1964 style Knock off wheels fitted.
Is that a yes or no.?
I’m on the fence on this one.

It wants a better finish on the wheel and a better tyre combo on it, it might then look ok.Here’s a 1975 corvette with the 1964 style Knock off wheels fitted.

That’s the standard factory finish for 1964 style knock offs. The 65/66 were black with ally fin edges. It wants a better finish on the wheel and a better tyre combo on it, it might them look ok.
My mate Graham has a set of '64's on his SWC that look great but he keeps them spotless. They have wires on the spinner tied through a drilled hole in one of the fins from its days of racing.
