C4 wheels

[Choosing a name is hard]

I have a set of c4 wheels and they are undamaged but the lacquer has lifted in a few spots . Has anyone revamped a set ?
What did you use ?
I am thinking paint stripper then very fine sanding disk then autosol then lacquer
Any help is appreciated

I would start with paint stripper first also then depending on how much it removes a cutting compound being as gentle as possible

Ever consider instead to have them power coated ?
It handles the heat transfer from the brakes and holds up well and color does not bleed out

I did that 15 years ago for my C5, and they still look new
