Corvette was worldwide top seller for sports cars
This year’s first-quarter sales were good enough to make the Corvette fourth overall
behind much cheaper cars like the Ford Mustang with 13,707 units, Dodge Challenger with 9,737, and the entire range of BMW 4-Series with 8,847.
While the Corvette was widely celebrated in 2020 when its base price was below $60,000, that figure has increased by $10,000 through the ’24 model year. With the Average Transaction Price in the fourth quarter of 2023 climbing to more than $106,000, however, that makes the first-quarter 2024 sales even more impressive.
The recently discontinued Chevy Camaro still ranked fifth with 3,574 units – down considerably over Q1 ’23 sales of 7,780.
** Discontinued (Audi TT, Infiniti Q60)
* Includes Sedans, Coupes, Convertibles (BMW 2, 4, 8)
Porsche USA hasn’t reported Q1 2024 Sales at the time this was published.
