No doubt if we were to explore the pre- internet 'world' we'd see/hear/read about similar occurrences with previous C4, C3, C2 and C1 generations driven by us (in our youf'), our parents and perhaps even grandparents!

I remember it was about 1975 a friends cousin turned up in a DeTomaso pantera GTS absolutely beautiful. He gave each one of us a spin round the block in it. You should have seen it the next day, front was gone. Apparently he overtook a milk float and hit another car head on.
