Hope the owner of this C8 does not go back to that dealer with a shotgun :(

2021 C8 owner picks up his C8 after dealer does some repair work
What does he find as he had set the PDR to auto record when engine starts

Watch what this dealer tech does, how many laws he breaks and how unsafe his driving was and worse multi times
in heavy freeway traffic goes over 120 to 145 MPH :(

Thoroughly Tested.
Should be arrested for listening to that 'music' though.
Black Charger drivers in trouble if they can read the reg.

PDR is a feature of Corvettes
The video recorder (PDF) can be set, so recording auto starts when engine is started

You would have though the tech would at least had brains to erase the recordings, as he would know the C8 records.
There is also an on-board race timer, so it can be matched to the lapsed time and speeds to later merge with the video recordings

Many use this like on racetrack, so they can upload it later to a P/C to watch or send to others

Tech broke many driving laws and C8 owner should call the cops as the recording is clear
This was a Chevy dealer in Fremont. Ca.

Should be locked-up playing that 'music' (if that is the correct description) - listening to the self congratulary sound track from the 'technician' I would suspect a drugs test would throw-up some interesting results. TBH my biggest concern if that had been my car was him playing that rap-crap at maximum volumne (as he appeared to be doing) the distortion was so bad I'd be surprised if it hadn't 'blown' the speaker cones......

State of Ca has tons of automatic traffic photo camera that take photos of license plates
Imagine if the C8 owner then is mailed several tickets.
Also, the state then has on file who the owner's car insurance is, and reports to them, and then they raise the C8 owner's insurance rates
Insurance rates in Ca are really high, and they charge more depending on driver's traffic history
Now add above xx speed limit posted, the law considers it more criminal and can come to owner's home and tow the C8 to impound it

C8 owner better get on the phone ASAP to cops and show them that video

Awwww.... I can't watch it as it says the video is private :(

Its probably going to be evidence in court now so the Police will have advised it be taken down so as not to 'prejudice proceedings'.
If it gets millions of views the defence may be able to get it ruled as inadmissible.

The C8 owner made a deal with the dealer who is buying back the C8 and allowing C8 owner to buy a 2022 model with the C8 owner having to take down the proof of what the tech did in that high speed drive
Claims are the tech was fired.

Notice the speed shown at top left of video

I saved a piece of that video and is still active, you can see at

Racing at 150 MPH

Sounds like he may escape prosecution then.

I'm sure this sort of occurrence is more common than most people realise. There was a case of similar abuse at my local Mercedes dealer a few years ago that went viral on YouTube........

The car was an MB E300 AMG; not exactly a supercar but certainly high performance. I suspect the only reason it wasn't pushed to the limit was because was the trip on relatively congested roads. The owner was offered £1500 'hush money' - which he refused, preferring to expose the abuse on YouTube.
It's something of a lottery taking a performance car to a dealer - without the evidence of dashcams, how do you what it's been subjected to before you get it back?

A friend of mine took his car to get it's tyres changed at a tyre shop and left it there for them to do. Came back later and looked at the dash cam footage on it and was shocked to see them hammering the fudge out of the car around the roads, with at least two people in there as they are are talking to each other and sounding impressed with how fast it went etc.

They were providing an additional service to scrub the tyres in.. they probably didnt charge him for it either!
