I will be running a Trackday at Blyton Park Gainsborough on Friday 4th July. There will be 4 groups of 6 cars and I'd like for one or two of those groups to only be Corvettes. I have run this for 4 years with no incidents and it's very much a friendly clubs day allowing new or less experienced drivers to exercise their cars without 20-40 "wannabees" all on track at once. Only one of the four groups of six cars will be more track focussed drivers and unsuitable for novices. Each group gets 15 minutes in the hour - so you are only on track with 5 other Corvettes if you join this group and 45 minute breaks between drives. All groups are friendly and there is usually opportunity to passenger in other cars, borrow an experienced driver and enjoy the pit lane banter.
Quite a few club members did this the last two years and can tell you the experience of being on track with just 5 other cars - all club members is quite unlike any normal track day.
There will be one to two other car clubs with their own session and a faster mixed group (which your welcome to join if you prefer and have the experience). There is also a professional instructor organising/policing the day and available to provide instruction - £25 per session.
It's very exclusive and due to the low numbers costs £250 per car (passengers and extra drivers no charge). I always lose a few quid on the event but I don't mind as I get to exercise my cars in this relatively highly safe track environment.
Any questions give me a shout - if your interested ping me a message. Note that it is Silverstone F1 that weekend - watch your dates! Apart from that July 4th seemed quite appropriate. Oh and half of us stop local the night before and enjoy a meal at the Black Horse . Preferred accommodation is Restaurant Food In Blyton | Black Horse Inn Blyton | Blyton but there is plenty more in Gainsborough.
Regards
