Door card veneers

Been slowly going through the interior of the vette. Door cards in good condition apart from the veneer strips. New ones are expensive as you have to but the whole thing with trim too so I’ve removed the originals and ordered some American black oak veneer a fairly big piece for £18 this Should be enough to do both doors and the centre console I’ll let you know how I get on. Originals come off well enough to use as templates

Re veneered in American black oak, coated with a clear oil and polyurethane mix. Looks so much sharper now and a doddle of a job to do

Both door cards and centre console now veneered a big difference for very little cost which doesn’t happen often with a corvette
