The driver of this Torch Red C8 Corvette Convertible was captured on radar driving 127 MPH in a 65 MPH zone on Tulsa’s Broken Arrow Expressway on Wednesday afternoon. Tulsa police said a traffic officer was passed by the speeding red Corvette at nearly double the speed limit, and the driver of the Corvette was issued the ticket.
Unfortunately for the Corvette’s driver, going 25+ MPH over the speed limit turns a simple citation into aggravated speeding,
which requires a court date and a fine of up to $500 or 10 days in jail.
If the ticket wasn’t enough, Tulsa Police has got some jokes as well.

127 MPH IN 65 MPH ZONE -- Corvette ticketed on the BA expressway
On 3/12/2025, around 1:45 p.m., a Traffic Officer was traveling on the BA expressway when a red Corvette passed him, going 127 mph, nearly twice the speed limit.
Driving 25+ mph over the speed limit is considered aggravated speeding, which requires a court date and a fine of up to $500 or 10 days in jail.
That would be $8 for every MPH over the speed limit, or one carton of eggs per MPH.
Since he was driving a Vette, maybe the cost of eggs isn't a concern.
We encourage all motorists to travel safely and look out for those who don't.
