Just got back from the monthly Wednesday evening classic car meet at Earls Barton in Northampyonshire . The usual big turn out of easily 150 cars which is always an eclectic mix of vintage , classics and moderns . Several Corvettes , Chevy custom pick ups and other Yanks including a stunning Mercury Sedan the size of a small country and a road legal reproduction of a 1951 Formula Indy car that must be a real hoot to drive on public roads .
The white 1975 C3 was for sale and was fitted with a 383 cu in that was certainly not a stock motor .
Ciro of Sharnbrook Hotel and Petrolheadonism fame was there in his Lambo and had a nice chat with him at the burger van . The C3 drew lots of admiring comments from the public and other car owners alike but the best was when a family came over with two young children to say that their little boy had and his sister had made paper rosettes with their names on for their `Best in Show ` choice and awarded them to the Purple Peril ! Needless to say they were thrilled to in the car and have their photos taken . Big
