Hi Allan,
Found this post on Corvette Forum:
Check your interior light switch on the left side of the dash, where the HUD dimmer is located. I ran down 2 batteries because I didn't realize it was left on.
I noticed the dash lights would stay illuminated for what seemed like a long period after I closed up my car also, particularly the door control lights(windows, locks, mirrors). I just learned to make sure the interior light switch was off and paid it no mind.
Hope it helps
You have good point
That dimmer button pops in or out when pushed
When left outward, could be easy to hit it and turn the knob to have inside lights ON
If in, push to pop out and turn knob and watch the inside lights
When sure lights are off, then push it in to protect it from being turned by mistake
If that does not solve the problem it might be possible that when replacing the battery the BCM controller got into a weird
state and maybe disconnect a battery cable for maybe 5 minutes and connect again solves the problem
Else via the DIC controls go to the diagnostics mode, write down any DTCs tripped and then clear any DTCs tripped (error codes)
to see if that helped
On another note being in
sunny hot Texas, right now weather is
13 F deg and for the next 4 days, Damn
